best in class:
itik tim from ole sayang
otah otah from ole sayang
dry wantan noodles from midway down jonker street
kaya puffs from baker's cottage in dataran pahlawan
ridiculously cheap 7542 menghai pu'er tea from hang kasturi

i wouldn't bother:
oyster meesua from lorong hang jebat
san shu gong dessert store
makko* nonya restaurant
pergola** hotel

*go to ole sayang across the road instead.
**try hotel puri in the historic part of the city.
