we put up christmas decorations tonight. our ancient tree our battered advent calendar and our plump pretty candle. we remember that christmas is really none of these things but we are grateful for the gift of time for some beloved family rituals.make special traditions, i want to tell young families. don't sweat the small stuff. the time comes swiftly when baby jesus goes on the nativity scene a final time.
